Oases and Mirages

This book is my love letter to Wellington, my beautiful home town.

It explores the allure of reflections and the ‘mirages’ they create in streets and suburbs everywhere. The multilayered images that appear on glass, water, metal and plastic resemble thrilling abstract art, and they take me on a journey deep into the DNA and heart of this wonderful place.

Also depicted are my ‘oases’ – the intriguing streets, the quirky shops, the harbour, the galleries, museums, concert venues, iconic buildings, cafes, libraries, inspired graffiti, craft breweries and houses of fine chocolate…The list goes on.

The images are purely reflections, with fleeting glimpses of faces and human figures. There are subtle hints as to where each photo was taken. See if you can guess the locations!
